Life coaching is
fun!
Life coaching is increasingly
recognised as a simple, fast and powerfully effective means of creating change
for the better. It's an ideal approach for anyone who's ready to break
with past limiting beliefs and behaviour to create a compelling future.
Coaching can be applied in every area of your life.
Life coaching is a great way of
building a strong and abiding sense of who you are, intellectually, physically,
emotionally, and spiritually. This kind of self knowledge is the core of
high self esteem, which in turn is a platform for visionary decision making
and powerful action taking. After all, how fulfilled, balanced, rewarding, successful
or enjoyable our life will be is determined every day by the behaviours,
thoughts and choices we use -- especially when we face opportunities,
dilemmas, challenges and decisions, in both our personal and professional
lives.
You dream, you define success, you
decide how to make it come true. We co-create a strategy, you are
inspired to take action, we team up to get you there. I support, encourage and
challenge you along the way. Coaching works because of the unique relationship
between us. I focus 100% on you, on what
you want from life and how to get it. I am supportive without being interfering
and challenging without being judgmental. Asking for support with life
changes is a strength manifested by responsible, proactive and intelligent people.
An effective Coaching alliance thrives on honesty,
openness and a willingness to accept the challenge to change. It's about
empowering you to come up with your own answers rather than giving you
advice. I use penetrating questioning to elicit in you new ways
of thinking, which means new answers, learning and action -- closing the gap
between where you are and where you want to be. In most cases there are no-quick
fixes to our lives, many Life Coaching challenges and assignments will require a
long term commitment on your part.
Is life coaching
a fad?
Is the pursuit of happiness a
fad? Is asking for help a fad? Is asking for help in the pursuit of
happiness a fad? Life coaching was born in America and gained significant ground
during the dot.com boom. A new generation of people with plenty of money, and the desire to be very successful
noticed they felt the unhappy downside of living
out of balance and out of touch with themselves. Is this all there is to
life they cried? Life coaching was created to help people tune into
themselves and get happy. It will not be a fad!
To prepare for
working with a coach
To prepare for working with a life
coach you need to budget time in your diary for a weekly session of around
75mins. I often provide homework and self study. When we work together we create a
sanctifying space; if you like, you can
make that space special, in your own way. Some people like candles,
symbols, incense etc. while others prefer to be very formal and
business-like -- its all ol, it is your time, just be you.
Do you have a contract?
When we start working together I do
invite you to sign a small symbolic contract to yourself, basically contracting
yourself to be committed to your life coaching efforts. It is up to you to
hold yourself to the program... with my support of course.
You are free at anytime to adjust or
stop the coaching relationship if you feel it is not working. And reciprocally, an
important point is that I am careful to watch
for when clients are no longer benefiting from our coaching relationship and thus would be better served by another coach or by another resource;
at that time, I will encourage my client to make that change.
Take a look at my Terms
and Conditions.
Imagine what you could achieve if
you had someone who is 100% committed to your success, who spurs you on every
week. who is more than a friend or relative, who won't be jealous of you
ambition and shoot you down, someone who is dedicated to helping you improve
every area of your life.
If you could do one thing today that
would change your life forever, what would that be?... Will you do it?
I
am interested in working with a life coach
